In fact, in hypermarkets, the sections dedicated to foods of plant origin are increasingly larger. However, despite the immense benefits of this type of food, we need to pay attention to the labels. This is important so that we don't run the risk of making choices rich in carbohydrates , fat and salt and very low in proteins or vitamins.
If the food choice is balanced, we can ingest all the essential nutrients for the body to function properly. What about the much talked about vitamin B12 ? It is always possible to include it through supplementation, if necessary.
Today I bring you 3 super practical vegan snack options to add to your healthy diet . Balanced and rich in protein, they are perfect for breaking a fast or for a light mid-afternoon meal.
3 Simple Vegan Snack Recipes
1. Pudding with red fruits
INGREDIENTS:
- 150 ml sugar-free oat drink
- 40 g of vegetable protein powder
- 1 c. agave jelly soup
- 3 chopped strawberries
- 3 c. roasted barley soup
PREPARATION:
Place the oat drink, protein powder and agave jelly in a blender and blend until smooth. Then, place this mixture (in a glass or bowl) in layers, alternating with the strawberries and toasted barley. Reserve part of the fruit and cereals to add at the end, as a topping.
Put it in the fridge and wait 30 minutes before enjoying it and being able to go train with more energy!
2. Vegan pancakes
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 c. olive oil soup
- 30 g of instant oats
- 40 g of vegetable protein powder
- 1 c. cinnamon tea powder
- water b.
- 30 g of red fruits
- 1 c. peanut butter dessert
PREPARATION:
Place all ingredients (except the red fruits and peanut butter) in a blender and blend until you obtain a thick and homogeneous mixture.
Heat a non-stick frying pan and add 2 tablespoons of the dough to form a pancake. Cook each pancake on both sides, remove and repeat the process until the dough runs out.
Enrich your pancakes with red fruits and a little peanut butter to give them a special touch. Then you will be able to enjoy one of the most popular vegan snacks for those who follow a healthy lifestyle .
3. Porridge with banana
INGREDIENTS:
- 250 ml sugar-free almond drink
- 1 ripe banana, crushed
- 30 g of instant oats
- 40 g of vegetable protein powder
- 1 c. agave jelly soup
- 1 cinnamon stick
PREPARATION:
Heat the vegetable drink with the cinnamon stick until it heats up. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl and slowly add to the drink, mixing well. Turn off the heat and let it rest for 2 minutes.
Then, just add toppings of your choice! I usually add red fruits and a dessert spoon of peanut butter. The result is a healthy and delicious vegan snack !
